Chile ~week 59

so... this week was a great one... its been lots of fun here, training and opening a new area...

Heres my week:

Tuesday: we had our cambios, i waited for ever, then our bus came to go to the office... we had a little training on how to be a trainer, then they put us together... i am training an elder named Elder Mende, from Bakersfield California... hes pretty cool... then we traveled to our new area, and ended the night with misison correlation..

Wednesday: we started to unpack a bit.. then we had to go to district meeting, we had lunch, then studies, bought for the week, then did divisions so we could et to know the sector a bit... so i went with elder Ramos, who we live with, so he could show me around a bit..

Thursday: so this day we had an interesting experience, we were doing the 12 weeks trainng in the morning, preparing elder mende to invite someone to be baptized.. so as we were contacting that night there was a girl that let us in.. we didnt have a restoration pamphlet, so we taught the plan of salvation, which im a little out of practice with that one.. so i taught it kind of rough, then to try to end it i bore my testimony then looked at my companion to bear his testimony. and he looks at me then looks at her and tells her "as the lord answers your prayers, and you know our message is true, will you be baptized?". and that shocked me! i was so scared, haha i didnt know what to do... but she answered us and said yes! hahahha so that was a lot of fun, and i had to try and recover the situation and explain it all to her..

Friday: we didnt do much, we contacted, found a few futures, then found a member family, then we had to go teach english classes..

Saturay: we had a service in the morning, then we contacted again all day...

Sunday: we had stake conference, then afterwards we had lunch, we had lunch with an hermana that LOVES missionaries! so she gave us a HUGE lunch!!! haha, then we went to visit that girl we put that baptismal date with, but the appointment fell... so we started to contact..

Today: just something exciting that happened today, we had another little earthquake here!!! it was cool!! i havent felt one in awhile!!

Well thats basically my week, hope you all have a great week!! cause i know i will!!

Chile ~Week 58

so this week we are gong to be having cambios!!!

And GUESS WHAT!!!

im gonna be leaving villa obispo...

but im gonna be TRAINING!!! im so excited!

but to make it even more fun, im gonna be opening a new sector aswell, called las americas, in los angeles sur, so im still gonna be here in LA..

but anyways, heres my week:

tuesday: we had district meeting, we contacted for a bit, then visited a member, nothing rela secial...

Wednesday: we were able to find one new, a big bald guy whos living with a ess active, he was really nice and wants to learn more, so thats awesome!! then we visited some members, who are less actives, so that was good, we had a good lesson.

Thursday: we had studies, weekly planning, then we left to contact, and we contacted a reference we had. they are colombians, and we founf out theyre a bunch of people that live there!! but it was cool, since they were colombian, they were very receptive, and said they felt like our message was true... so that was a great experience..

Friday: we contacted quite a bit, visited an inactive member we found contacting, and invited him to church.. then contacted more, then visited other less activs, something weve been trying to do to do misisonary work through the memebers..

Saturday: we did studies, went to a church tour for the zoneleaders... we had an appointment fall, so we contacted, then had misison correlation, then we were able to hear cambios!!

Sunday: we had chruch, and that inacvtive member came!! so that was cool!! after church we had lunch, then i started to pack a bit, then we visited some members to say bye, which is kinda lame, cause i barely know anyone cause ive been here like a month.. 

today: ive been packing a bit, getting ready to leave! but its awesome! im so excited! and i want all of you to have a good week!!

Chile ~week 57

happy mothers day to all those mothers out there!! 

this week was a good one, i really enjoyed it, especially doing skype with the fam!!

also this week has gotten quite a bit colder and rainy... so its beginning to be that time of year again! (sarcastic woohoo!) haha

Well heres my week:

Tuesday: we did our morning studies, then had lunch, we had an appointment fall, so we decided to contact a bit.. we then taught a guy named jorge, and we were able to put a baptismal date with him. then we started to contact again, we ran into a kid that tried to speak english with me... key word... tried... haha. but after we wrote down his info and were gonna pass by sometime..

Wednesday: district meeting... but sorry, nothing else really happened...

Thursday: we had an attack in an area named cabrero, which is a few minuted from los angeles. 

Friday: an eventful day, we taught pablo, whoi refers to himself as a dry mormon. he believes in everything, has a testimony, but is having troubl getting baptized, he just doesnt want to do it.. so were gotnna see what we can do there. then also we went to teach a less active family that night.. whos daut}ghter isnt baptized.. they told us that the dad is going to reactivate himself so he will be able to baptize his daughter.. so that made us really excited! but then they told us the daughter is 8!!! everyone always told us she was 9! so that was a fun roller coaster of emotions. 

Saturday: We didnt have any set plans, so we decided to contact a bit. it started sprinkling, so that wasnt bad... then is strated to pour!! we werent ready for pouring weather, so we got soaked, and the rain gear we were wearing got soaked!! it was so cold! so after a few hours of that we ran home to change into dry clother and other rain gear to go to a baptism of the sister missionaries in our ward. but it has gotten pretty cold and wet here...

Sunday: we had church, jorge came, but this less active fam didnt. so we called them about skype(where we were going to do it) and they told us their internet got cut, so we were going to do it with the lunch we had, but his microphone didnt work... so we reutrned home, planned and did a bit of studies, then left to teach our neighbors. we started teaching them the 10 commandments! but they talk a lot so we didnt even finish all of them! then that night we got to do skype! so that was awesome!

Today: this morning we had our zone activity. and we played some sports... but thats it!

Alma 17:9  And it came to pass that they journeyed many days in the wilderness, and they fasted much and prayed much that the Lord would grant unto them a portion of his Spirit to go with them, and abide with them, that they might be an instrument in the hands of God to bring, if it were possible, their brethren, the Lamanites, to the knowledge of the truth...

Alma 42:31

 And now, O my son, ye are called of God to preach the word unto this people. And now, my son, go thy way, declare the word with truth and soberness, that thou mayest bring souls unto repentance, that the great plan of mercy may have claim upon them. And may God grant unto you even according to my words. Amen.
