Chile ~week 46

so this week, as normal, was a great week, working hard, recieving blessings, and learning a lot! oh how great is the mission!

Well heres the stuff we did:

Tuesday: we had district meeting, i ended up doing another intercambio, this time with elder buglioni, from chile from viña del mar. it was pretty cool, we just contacted all day, then we did a cool language study at the end of the day.

Wednesday: ended the intercambio, lunch, planning, a normal day, until that night. we had a noche de hogar, or fhe. and it was great!! we had 2 investigators come, and they loved it! they want to come to church but couldnt. we also contacted a taxi guy on the way home, that was pretty interested. but doesnt live in out sector, but was cool.

Thursday: We did weekly planning. then we went to lunch. theres an hermana that makes us lunch, were grateful that she gives us lunch. but her lunches are kinda lame... she gave us a small container of rice, with 4 hot dogs. just the sausage part.. like i said, were grateful, but its weird. then we planned, english classes, and then had a lesson that night.

Friday: we did puertas abiertas, or church tours. we found that guy form london again, which was pretty cool, then there were some members who brought investigators to play basketball at the church, sp we decided to go. and oh my... am i out of shape with basketball. i was soo bad! haha..

Saturday: good day, but not much happened. we had some investigators come to play soccer, but we didnt have members come, so we waited for awhile, then just ended up leaving. so that turned out not as we ecpected!

Sunday: another day of mirales! i love the gospel!!  the miracle that came last week brought her mom, who hasnt come in like 15 years. and she even brought friends who arent members. and they all loved it!! it  was so cool, we had a big ward yesterday, and we only had like 63 people. so thats big for here! haha. then we had completos for lunch, theyre really growing on me. chilean food is getting better. then we had a lesson with a testigo de jehova. or a jehovahs witness. and that was weird. we contacted him a few weeks ago, and wanted to have a nice little chat with him and ask what they believe, because im ignorant about that church. so it started nice and all. then he brought out all these stupid questions about doctrine that wasnt even ours. and why we believe these kinda of things. and just trying to prove us wrong. i was not ready for that. but it ended kinda rough and we ended up just leaving.. so it wasnt a great experience. and it really just strengthened my testimony about the scriptures. because the scriptures testify of people like that.

Today: we played soccer this morning. and my skills i had as a young kid came back to me, i was playing pretty good, scored a few goals.. it was crazy!

but yeah we had a great week!
sorry no pics this week!

Chile ~week 45

so in my title it basically says, finally we recieved rain, and and did we...

but this week was a great one as usual...

Here it is:

Tuesday: nothing way special happened,we had good studies, visited some people, english classes, and mission correlation.

Wednesday: we had to wake up at 5 again, to do that same firewood service, which was terrible... we were so dead. then after we were able to start living the new schedule, which is way nicer, but we couldnt talk about it until the next day.

Thursday: we has zone meeting, where we got the new schedule and it is...

7:30 wake up, exercise, get ready
9:30 Personal study
10:30 language study(if theres time)
11:30 leave, have to be out of the house)
1:30 Lunch
3:00 daily planning
3:30 companionship study
4-4:30 leave to work
10:00 Return home
11:00 have to be sleeping
This new schedule is really cool, they give us al the freedom we may need, if we need to rearrange it we can, we can do whatever whenever we want, except for wake up and sleep.. and thats awesome cause we get an extra 30 mins to sleep now! woohoo!! but the purpose of this scedule is to make sure the missionaries that return home will know how to plan their days...

Cont.. we did and intercambio with the zone leaders and i was with elder callister from idaho. he pretty cool, we contacted a bit and found an adventista family, that was okay..

Friday: another intercambio, with elder guedes from brazil, hes kinda crazy but fun.. we had a great lunch, planned a bit and did a bit fo studies.. then it rained, and oh did it rain, way hard and flooded some streets we had to walk in ankle high water, which was pretty cool.. except for having to walk in wet shoes all day. i got soaked, almost everything i had got soaked.

Saturday: ended intercambio, planned, went to a baptism in lican ray, cleaned the house of some of our investigators, who are kind of sketchy, who are gypsies, so we were on the constant lookout fo anything sneaky. they always spoke hungarian, which is weird, but its cool, i have picked up a bit, just simple stuff like yes, no, mom, dad, stuff like that.

Sunday: it was fast sunday, and it was cool, me and my companion decided to fast for a miracle in church, when at church an old investigator came to church with a good family, so we are going to follow up with her and see what happens!! we were very grateful for our heavenly fathers help with a miracle! then not much more interesting happened..

Today: so far this morning we played soccer with a few missionaries form our zone and from the other temuco zone, it was pretty cool.

But thats my week, was pretty good and fun!

Chile ~week 44

Okay, sorry i dont have a lot of ime, so ill try to go fast!

but the title, yes it was my birthday week for thos who didnt know... and by fire, some of you may heard, theres been a bunch of fires here in chile in my mission, not in my area, so imm all good and safe..

But like i said i dont have a lot of time, so ill just talk about my birthday,

so we started that day with church, we didnt have any investigators come, and guess what... i had to give a talk, the bishop told us right before that i need to prepare a talk just in case... so i had barely any time to plan, it was probably the worst talk ive ever given... i was pretty nervous.. ut i got up there shared scriptures about missionary work. and then i also told the bishop(from the stand) that was a good bday present. so of course after everyone was wishing me happy birthday... Then to get thrown under the bus again, the bishop asked us to teach gospel principles, so of course we did it... then after church we had lunch with the bishop, they gave me a cake which was nice of them. then after lunch we were walking by the church when a man yelled hey from the other side of the street. he came over and sterted to speak with us in english. said he was elder white. he served there llike 42 years earlier, in all of temuco, which is 2 stakes now... how crazy!!! then we stopped by the church and we were able to stand in the circle to give reinaldo the melchezidek priesthood, which was a realy cool experience! then that night an hermana that loves missionaries decided to give us once(which is like a late dinner/dessert thing) where we ate even more cake...

so all in all, id say it was a great birthday, so thanks for all the birthday wishes!!

oh and something else real fast!!! on wednesday, we had a misisonary conference, with all the misionaries in the whole world, and they changed the misisonary schedule, so we will see how it is this week in our mission, and ill let you guys know next week!

But its been a fun/hot/scorching week!! haha pray for colder weather in chile! haha

Chile ~week 42

okay i got a few announcements...

transfers first: i will be staying here in caupolicán and with my same companion. so im excited for that!

pictures: were in a cyber that doesnt read my card, so ill try to send my pictures next week, and theres a LOT of them

okay and heres my week:

tuesday: okay tuesday was a good day, we had out last district meeting for this transfer, we had a good lunch, we went to our investigators house to talk with them. there was a word we were trying to learn and understand, then the hermana brought her dog in to try ot explain the word, the dog came and ran all over us, and it was wagging all around and my comp felt something wet get on him. we just thought maybe it was playing in the water outside. cause the whole floor was wet also.. then the hermana started to laugh really hard, and it started to smell, and she said "El perro hizo pipi" which means"the dog peed" so that was funy we started laughing pretty hard, and my companion was a little bummed cause a dog peed on him! hahahhaa it was so funny! then there was another lady we visited that night who is from another church, and she did the closing prayer, it was kinda funny, the like got into a rhythm and sounded like she was rapping or something, so thats exciting!

Wednesday: not anything real interesting, we basically just contacted alllll dayyy....

Thursday: we did weekly planning, our lunch forgot, so she made us something small and fast, then we went to buy empanadas cause we were still hungry. then we contacted then had a noche de hogar, and it was good, we shared the video"la esperanze de la luz de dios" i dont know what it is in english, but it exists, and the family we shared it with loved it, the dad started crying, he said it explained exactly his life, so were glad we got through to him..

Frisday:we contacted a bit, then we had an "attack" in fundo el carmen, where we go and contact for them and everything, so nothing too exciting..

Saturday: What an interesting day, i wish i could send these pictures ot you guys... but, we woke up at 5, to go do a service, we had to load 35 meters of wood into a truck, us the zone leaders, and the other district leader and his comp. the wood was so heavy and we loaded it in like 2 hours.. then we had to drive an hour back into town to unload it as a zone, it took like 3 to 3 and a half hours ot unload it, everyone was so beat, and tired. im still sore from that! we went and got changed ot leave and we left, and i got whistled at by some girls, so that was cool, i cant blame them, im a good looking guy, hahaha... then that night we went to play futbol or soccer with the ward, we have a rule in our misison that were allowed to play if we have investigators or a missionary ourpose for being there. so we had investigators come, and we played, i only played for a few minutes cause after i got huge cramps in my legs and could barely walk, so i had ot sit our for the rest of the game, but it was fun, the bishop and young men came and got to know our investigators.. then we went to go home, and a bus never showed up, so we walked and got home late cause i can barely walk. then that night we heard cambios

Sunday: dont have much time, so im gonna go fast.. we saw some miracles, 3 investigators randomly showed up to church, so that was a HUGE blessing, then we walked a lot in that day, then we came home and said bye to elder diaz, aand then contacted the rest of the day, but thats basically it... hehe

Well have a goo dweek everyone i had a great week!! it was lots of hard work and a lot of fun!!

Love and miss you all!!

Chile ~week 41

OKay i have something to confess, these big emails are getting harder and herder to do, theyre becoming like a burden, but ill try my best to make them interesting...

My week:

Tuesday: nothing way too interesting hapened.. we got to go out and work with our bishop, which was nice cause he knows a lot of inactives that we passed by for. so that helped us a bit. and then that night the zone leaders got home from the office and they had letters for me, so that was nice...

Wednesday: we did a little service in the morning for an hermana, shje gave us breakfast and lunch, but we decided its a lot of service so were gonna fininsh it as a zone on saturday. we contacted a bit.

Thursday: i did another intercambio, this time with elder Rodrigues, he is from brazil, but looks gringo.. it was pretty cool, hes going to finish the same time i do... then we also ended up contacting a bit... but didnt have much luck, itsd hard to contact in the city cause the people are all so rude..

Friday: we had zone conference, or zone meeting. and the elders form lautaro brought me clothes i ordered form an hermana in there sector. i bought a jacket of chile, which i will send pics of, its really cool... we also got a reference named constanza, she has a cool story, ill share it one day. but she was living in a sector in our zone, then moved, then moved again into my sector, ans shes way cool, and really wants to get baptized, shes 19. so she can get baptized in the end of this month. so i hope im still here for that, we will be having transfers this next week, so we will see what happens...

Saturday: Rainy.. this whole week has actually been pretty rainy, which i dont mind now, at least in the summer it cools it off a bit...we had the service with the hermana as a zone, and she was so happy, and luckily we got it all done before it started raining too hard... we went homw to change, and while my companion was in the shower i decided to do a kneeling prayer, outloud.. i havent done it in awhile, so i thought id do it.. it was really nice, i recommend it to all of oyu.. actually i challenge all of you to do it. its a great way to feel the love of god and just to let him know all that is going on..
but anyways we started fasting aswell which was good, we fasted for good things.

Sunday: we had church, we had one investigator come, his name is christian, we technically arent allowed to teach him yet, cause the bishop wants to interview him first and other stuff.. so we will see where that goes. after church we had ward council, and it was cool, they showed us some videos that were in portugese, and i could understand a but of what they were saying, just with a really tihnk accent. then after that we went to break our fast, i wasnt way hungry actually.. then last night it started raining way hard, but we were inside so it was cool!

Today: we had our zone activity this morning, we ate pizza and played a bunch of games..

but yeah, thats my week! hope you all had a good week and a good coming week!

Love and miss you all!

Chile ~week 40

so here we are, starting a new year. im starting my full year in the mission.. WOOHOO!!

But we had a pretty exciting week!

Tuesday: we did an intercambio white wash, and i was with Elder Noyce, from utah, and we were in vilcun again, and hes a good friend of mine, so it was a really fun intercambio.

Wednesday: was REALLY HOT! we didnt have a lunch, the hermna forgot, so we had to go buy lunch, and it was the end of the month, and we still had a bit of money, so we went to eat at jacks! and it was pretty good again, its the closest we can get to american food here.. then in the afternoon we worked and found some of our old investigators and news, but nothing way special.

Thursday: EVEN HOTTER!! we were dieing of heat this week... but on the bright side we went to a members house to eat, and they made us burritos, which was good, its been awhile since ive had burritos, and they kept wanting me to show them how to fold a burrito, cause i worked at tacoball and am a pro at it now! haha. then we had to go to lautaro so my companion could do a baptism interview... then that night we went to our investigatyors house, and they made us sopaipillas, which were pretty good..

Friday: we had to clean the house, profundly.. so we did that, and now it looks way good. we got rid of a bunch of stuff, and organized and cleaned everything!! but nothing else really exciting happened.

Saturday: was a bit rainy.. we did a service and cleaned the house of a man that only has one leg.. then we went to reinaldos house, then we got to come home early, our president made a rule that we had to be home early cause of the new years parties. so we came home and took a nap, then woke up to set goals and watch the fireworks take off.. and then there we go, started a new year.. 2017!!!

Sunday: Happy New Years!! we went to church, not a lot of people showed up, we had a small ward that day... and to make it better, we didnt have lunch again... so we tried to make something in the house, but we didnt have much food... but its okay we survived!!

Today: so, we walked around the city a bit trying to find an open place, and basically everything is closed. but we went to the mall and ate lunch there. then on our way to come write we ran into a guy from london, so he was talking to us in the street in his weird accent, and told us his whole life story so that was cool! haha

well another good week as normal, and hope you all have a good 2017!
