Chile ~week 39

well to all of you Merry Christmas... a bit late..

i dont have a bunch of time to write, so ill send pics. and explain them...

this week was good though, we had quite a bunch of rain again, and in the summer... whats going on? idk

i did an intercambio with Elder Garcia from peru, and we were able to put baptismal dates with an investigator we have. so that was way cool, there are always miracles when there are changes which is good.

well that's basically all the excited things except for the drunk people we saw on Christmas, and being a little sick... but that's it, another really good week!!

Chile ~week 38

Hey everyone,

¿times here are getting excited as we move closer and closer to christms!! were getting really excited, even though its weird down here, most of the time its really hot and they have snowman and snoflakes decorations, so that kind of weirds us out.

i dont have much time... so heres a quick version of my week...

We had our mission christmas party on wednesday which was super cool!! i got to see so many of my old friends and comps. and it was spiritual.. we did a cool thing where we all went to the plaza and shouted "ilumina el mundo" or light the world in english for the thing the church is doing. then we all let out a bunch of balloons.. so ill see if i can attatch the video..

we also had to move our apartments this week, so now were living with the zone leaders, who live pretty from our area, so hopefully we can find an apartment soon in our area. but the apartment were in right now is very nice. and Elder Callister(zone leader form idaho) recieved a chirstmas tree thing from his parents, so he hung that up and we all have our presents by the tree..

A cool story, we were contacting and i saw this guy washing his car, i felt like we needed to talk to him. so i asked if we could help him, he said hes just finishing, so thenw e began to talk. and he was a cool guy, he invited us back but when we called he said he will call us when we can go. so we will see where that goes.

we walked a TON this week, its been a bit crazy!

Saturday we went and did service combined with the zone of temuco cautin.  we went around temuco singin christmas songs, so that was cool, a lot of people stopped to listen and even record us!

then church yesterday... i had to pass the sacrament, we had to teach gospel principles whichthey told us like last minute which was kinda weird!! then in elders quormn there was this crazy guy that walked in, we saw him on the street a few days ago. he started making a bunch of weird comments about how fruit and water can heal anything, the reasons why hes vegetaian and a bunch of other stuff that didnt have to do with the lesson. but that happens a lot in out ward cause were in the downtown and so weird people always enter...

then we went to the stake music program which was good, we sat next to emmbers who brought a friend..

But yeah sorry for not putting a lot of info, short on time i think...

Chile ~week 37

So this week was good, felt a bit long, but maybe for my new companion Elder Page, Hes a cool guy, i think well get along and have success this transfer.

Heres my week:

tuesday: in the morning we had transfers, so elder gordillo left.. i had to wait a few hours for my new compañero. and hes pretty cool, he got here and we left to work. we were visiting our investigators. and our investigator nico decided he didnt want to talk to us anymore. so we started talking to his sister and her friend and her boyfriend. and we ended up setting 3 baptismal dates with them, but they ended up not coming to church so they fell...

Wednesday: We had district meeting, our zone is way cool, i have a bunch of friends here, a lot of my friends from my zone before(Lebu) came here to this zone, and i met a few more people, so its way cool. we walked around and visited some members so they could get to know my companion, because this ward here is very cool, and very nice.

Thursday: was a hot day. we did weekly planning. we left in the morning/afternoon, we walked past this lady and my comp said hello. i smiled at her and we continued walking, she was yelling hola at me until i said it, so that was kinda weird but kinda funny. we were invited to the baptism or a re-baptism of a member who was excommunicated. it was pretty cool to see the way the atonement has worked with him. the assistants came to setup for the conference the nexy day, so we helped them setup a bit  ause it was in our church building. then afterwards they stayed at our house which was pretty cool.

Friday: we had the conference, Elder MArk A. Bragg from the 70, and our area presidency came and spoke to us. hes a really cool guy, and we learned a lot! i went in with a question, and i got the answer!! so that was cool, we walked a lot and contacted a bit..

Saturday: it was a rainy da|y. me nd my comp started to switch off keys and phone everyday. so when we left, it was my comps turn for the keys, he grabbed the wrong keys and locked us out of the house... great... again... haha. we went to lunch and had a good lunch. thenw e had to go to the relief society president cause she had a copy. but turns out the copy she had wasnt the copy. so then we called the mylers(senior companionship that has keys)  and they came and opened it for us. 

Sunday: i had to bless the sacrament again, rained a bit. we passed for our investigators who didnt come to church, one of them, catalina(who has a baptism date), she said  her daughter was sick, so we gave her a blessing. then after we went to the hospital to give a blessing form a member of another ward. thenw e contacted the rest of thie night. contacting doesnt work very good in this area cause its all big city nd a lot of the people arent nice.

Well i had another good(long) week. and were still progressing with our investigators, so thats good. i hope you all have a good week!!

Chile ~week 36

so this week was pretty good, its rained the past few days... in the summer? which was werid. and also i had pretty bas allergies. so that was lots of fun!! haha

well heres my week!

Tuesday: very hot day, we ended up having 2 lunches, cause we met with an inactive member, and he insisted to give us lunch, so being always hungry missionaries... okay why not... haha. after lunch we got a call from a member telling us theres a lady waiting for us at the church who told us we had an appointment with her. we had nothing scheduled. so that was weird. we got there and she told us she has this weird skin disease so this big story where she knows how destroyed the twin towers, and how shes the only person in the world that knows and now the arabics are trying to kill her and are following her, and that all gringos are in danger cause we look like them or something.. it was weird. then after we talked to a member, and she told us that lady is literally crazy, she has brain problems, so mhat mnade us feel a bit better.

Wednesday: another hot day, but we were busy so it wasnt too bad. we spent time in the morning tio look for apartments, and still nothing... ugh.. then we met with investigators and less actives, and gave a few blessings. but the highlight of the day was that we set 2 baptismal dates. which was awesome!

Thursday: rained a bit, nice to get a bit of cool weather. then after that the sun came and we had a other very hot day... yeah weird.. welcome t chile. hha.. we did service in a homeless shelter, which was kinda gross to be honest, and was way dirty, but we helped with that. we sang christmas songs and made them happy.

Friday: we had zone conference. and it was very spiritual, i fel the spirit so strong. and we saw a video of the hands. and had our parents hands and asked us what have these hands done for you... then in the end had christs hands and asked the same question.. it was very cool and very spiritual!

Saturday: i was pretty sick, i slept a lot in the morning, then we left to work in the after noon. we had an asado with some less active members, which was pretty good. ill send pics of that. i almost got bit by a dong. someone left their gate open and their dogs were just waiting for people to walk by. it was like inches away form me... so that woke me up a bit.. then that night we heard transfers.. dun dun DUNNN!! haha, i will be staying here, my companion is leaving. my new companion is named Elder Page, i dont know him. but he will be comp mayor and district leader. so im pretty excited for another gringo comp.

Sunday: i was pretty sick again, we had church, we went to the bus terminal to drop off the missionaries that are leaving, which made me a bit sad, and a bit trunky to be honest.. then after that we went and visited a lot of members cause my coimpanion is leaving... 

Today: its been raining quite a bit, and i got my haircut this morning! and im looking good as always! haha

Chile ~week 35

Subject: Semana 5 in Cow-Pole-E-Kahn

hey everyone a great week again in caupolican!

im gonna do something a bit different this week, i have voice recordings for you guys, so ill send those in an attatched email. and you guys can let me know what you like more, a written email, or voice recordings, and i can try to do both.

but my week was good, we assisted a viewing and a funeral. which was kind of bad, you can see why in my recording, cause i dont want to spoil it..

it was a week with pretty good weather, not too hot, or not too cold. it was good.
