MTC ~week 1

so once i left the airport i found my terminal if thts what its called. but there was one sister missionary from mesa. she isgoing to england, so when we landed in atlanta she had to book it to her next flight, but told me how toget to mine cause i had no idea where i was going. after like an hour of walkingin the airport i decided to take the trains andfound my terminal shortly after that. another missionary came up to me, his name is elder james. we talked a bit then tried to find a phone, apparently airports dont have pay phones anymore. we found more missionaries and there was 12 of us on thesame flight. i sat next to a guy who got a job for the colombian basketball team. he was pretty cool, once we got off the flight i realized how much spanihs i dont know, i couldnt understand anybody. once all us missionaries gotour stuff we headed out and found the cmm people(mtc in colombia). we had to load up the van with our suitcases drove for a bit to the cmm. we got there at about midnight, the president talked to us for a bit then we were allowed to go ot bed. i share a room with 4 latinos and my companion. my companion is elder escobar. hes kinda short andhas glasses, hes from utah, and is going to uruguay. he knows a little spanihs from duolingo. in the morning when we all woke up the latinos were trying to talk to meand i understood noting at all!! that day we learned some spanish and some missionary skills. by that night i could talk to the latinos a little bit. 2 more missionaries came midnight when we were asleep, one from canada going tochile and one from utah? going to ecuador. in all the nortes (north americans) thereare 8 of us going to chile, one sister in my mission. we were all going todifferent MTCs but some didnt have room so they sent us all here. most days were the same, we have rice with every meal, hot chocolate for breakfast, and classes. we startedteaching fake investigtors. there are 60 misionaries total here and 14 arent latino. so we have lots of opprutunities to learn spanish, now i can talk to them and understand a lot of what they were saying. we even started teaching some of them english haha. the latinos are super nice, and elpful, and funny. they always haelp with our bad spanish. the weather here is awesome, it rains a few times a day, and the weather is nice. the sun always sets and rises around 6am and 6 pmcause its on the equater. we went to the temple this morning and it was super cool. oh yeah, i forgot, a bunch of us got sick, i was sick for 2 dys, and my companion was sick yesterday. other missionaries got sick, i blame the fod, it supposed to e american, but its colombianized. everything here is american, they have american outlets even. on the way to the temple this morning the traffic was crazy, people are super crazy drivers and im glad that im not driving here. well that basically sums up my week, sorry for any errors, these keyboard are hard to type on and it sys everyword i type is wrong cause its not in spanish haha. well have a good week!!

o and i forgot to say how much latinos love americans, they all hug us and smile and always like tosit by us and talk to us. theyre super cool, im gonna love this, half of the latinos are from venezuela, one is from my mission, and others from colombia and other south places, well my hour is about up! got to go! have a wonderful week!

i will send more pictures next week, the ones at the airport are the elders i met there. and the others are my district and an example of how funny/cool the latinos are.
